Stafix self drilling fasteners are produced by induction welding a carbon steel, self drilling point on to A2 stainless steel. The welding area is then including in the thread rolling to improve strength. It is therefore important to note that when deciding upon a suitable length both the point and carbon steel threaded portion should be clear of the fixing member.
